This low level aerial photograph of highly fractured and eroded bedrock formations was taken from an open cockpit weight shift control aircraft from an altitude between 50-100'. The formation has the appearance of the the surface of the human brain suggesting the title "Gaia's Brain". By suggesting the earth has a physical brain, it reiterates some of the early misconceptions and popularizations of the Gaia hypothesis, namely anthropomorphizing nature and the feedback loops that regulate planetary homeostasis.
